Paul has 13 years’ experience in South Africa’s consulting, finance and mining industries. He joined Keaton Energy as MD in September 2007 after a period of consulting to the company.
Johan began his career in international banking; he then held senior financial management positions with South African listed, investment, insurance and IT companies and was most recently with Eland Platinum Holdings Limited.
Liwzi is currently Executive Chairman of Ikamva Lethu Investments (Proprietary) Limited. He is a board member of Siyathenga Propery Fund Limited and was previously an independent non-executive director of Eland Platinum Holdings Limited.
David was appointed to the Keaton Energy board during January 2008 following a 23-year worldwide career in mineral technology and project development.
Phoevos brings several years of financial experience in the development of African mining projects to Keaton Energy.
A co–owner of Rutendo Mining, Antoinette has almost 19 years of hands–on and advisory experience in financial and treasury operations of new and established companies.
A co–owner of Rutendo Mining, Mandi has more than 15 years’ entrepreneurial experience in establishing and running businesses ranging from coal marketing to IT.
Peet has 28 years’ working experience in the South African mining industry. Previously he held senior positions in Riversdale Holdings (Pty) Limited, Anglo Platinum, Kumba Coal, Iscor Mining, Anglo Coal and Sasol Coal. He began his mining career as a Gencor bursar.
Isak has 16 years’ of mining experience, all spent in the South African coal sector at Glisa coal mine, part of Exarro’s NBC Coal operation in Mpumalanga. Holder of a Government Certificate of Competency and National Diploma in Coal Mining from Witwatersrand Technikon (now part of the University of Johannesburg), he joined Glisa as a security officer, rising to the position of Manager: Mining.
Kutume is a mining engineer and brings to the company 5 years of opencast and underground coal production experience, which is complemented by 2 years of consulting work across geological evaluations, financial modeling, mine design and scheduling and scoping, pre-feasibility and feasibility studies.
Daniel holds a BSc Honours degree in geology from the University of the Free State and a Graduate Diploma in Engineering (Mining) from the University of the Witwatersrand. He has some 11 years’ working experience, having held positions with leading companies in the South African coal sector. Most recently, he was Senior Operations Geologist with Total Coal South Africa.
