Keaton Mining (Pty) Ltd, a 74%-held subsidiary of Keaton Energy has been granted a 20 yr mining right over the 1 635-hectare in Delmas.
The Sterkfontein Project prospecting rights are held by Keaton Mining a 74% - held subsidiary of Keaton Energy. Limited exploration work was done on the project during the reporting period following the declaration of a 34 million tonne Coal Resource in May 2008.
The Klip Colliery mining permit is held by Keaton Mining a 74% - held subsidiary of Keaton Energy. The mine is a small open-pit operation that began production in October 2008 and operations are expected to cease in the next 12 months.
