Investing in Keaton Energy

Domestic investors

Keaton Energy's shares are listed on the Main Board of the Johannesburg Stock Exchange (JSE) in the Basic Resources – Mining: Coal Sector. Keaton Energy is a South African domiciled company and South African investors may trade freely in Keaton Energy’s shares listed on the JSE.

The JSE, established in 1887, is a member exchange of the World Federation of Exchanges and regularly ranks in the top 20 global exchanges by total market capitalisation. All trades are settled electronically using STRATE the Central Securities Depository for electronic settlement of financial instruments in South Africa. Keaton Energy’s share registrar is Computershare Investor Services.

To invest in Keaton Energy shares, contact your stockbroker or enter your order through your brokers’ online trading facility. If you do not have a broker or are new to investing in shares listed on the JSE, you will need to open a broker account.

Domestic investors include residents of the Common Monetary Area (South Africa, Namibia, Swaziland and Lesotho).

International investors

There are no restrictions on foreign investments into South Africa or the repatriation of dividends or capital by foreign investors. A foreign investor should, however, obtain advice as to whether any regulatory or legal consent is required or other formality must be observed in their own country in order to invest in South Africa.

Alternatively international investors should contact their local bank or stockbroker as most international banks and stockbrokers are either represented in South Africa or have existing relationships with South African banks and stockbrokers.
