Keaton Energy Holdings Limited is pleased to announce that the Department of Minerals and Energy (DME) has granted its 74%-held subsidiary, Keaton Mining (Pty) Ltd, a 20-year mining right on its Delmas Project in South Africa’s Mpumalanga Province.
Keaton Energy recently released an updated mineable in situ coal resource estimate for the Delmas Project of 163.4 million tonnes, inclusive of a 25.9 million tonne coal reserve.
Keaton Energy Managing Director Paul Miller said: ”The granting of the mining right is the single most important step towards bringing the mine into production. We are grateful to the DME for its support and co-operation.”
